We will be working in groups, to create a PSA (public service announcement) regarding Eating Disorders.
You will create a short video presentation, discussing one of the four eating disorders. To review, the four eating disorders are...
- Anorexia Nervosa
- Bullimia Nervosa
- Binge Eating Disorder
- Athletic Anorexia: Also known as "Hypergymnasia." This is an eating disorder characterized by excessive exercise. People suffering from Anorexia Athletica may engage in both excessive workouts and exercising as well as calorie restriction
Your presentation must include:
- Accurate information about the eating disorder you/your group chose, including but not limited to:
- Signs that someone is developing an eating disorder
- Short term health consequences
- long term health consequences
- Treatments
- Advice about how you can help someone who you think is developing a disorder
- Advice about healthy eating habits
- Advice about how to control a healthy body weight
Your presentation must:
- Be AT LEAST 3 minutes long, but NO LONGER than 5 minutes
- Be creative, and organized
- Have a clear beginning, middle and end
- Contain credits (who did what, etc.)
- Include Works cited - Where did you get your information?
- Have CLEAR audio and video
- reflect the participation of ALL group members.
